Mother kills daughter over boyfriend

Alma Mukunguma
A 62-year-old woman from Chivi is facing murder charges after she assaulted and killed her daughter over a boyfriend.
Nyaradzo Musiiwa caused the death of Ramwi Musiiwa over her relationship with boyfriend identified as 28-year-old Chipisa Tavonga from the same area.
Allegations are that on January 2, 2017 at 11am Nyaradzo left for Zion Church in the neighbourhood and left Ramwii with instructions that she should follow later.
Her daughter did not go to church and instead she paid her boyfriend a visit.
Nyaradzo returned home and found Ramwi not at home.
Ramwi allegedly arrived home 20 minutes later and disclosed that she had spent the day with her boyfriend in the bushes.
Nyaradzo got angry and assaulted her with a stick until she fell unconscious.
Efforts to pour water on her proved fruitless and she died on the spot.
The matter is being handled by Chivi ZRP.
