‘Chinamasa’s son ‘Tino’ caught with 7million in car’, LATEST

Zimbabwe’s minister of finance Patrick Chinamsa has come under pressure from different corners in and outside Zanu PF following revelations that his son Tino was found with over $7million in the boot of his car.

According to the allegations, Tino was stopped at the border and forced to return to Zimbabwe as he was carrying too much cash.

What baffled so many people including Obert Gutu an important MDC official is the fact that Chinamasa and his daughter have been defensive and even uneasy about the issue.

They are acting as if ‘Tino can not speak due to some police warning and caution’, according to a Zanu PF insider who refused to be named.

We are yet to get a statement from police to verify whether Tino was arrested or not.

Zimbabwe police usually respond to these sensitive matters if there is nothing truthful, this time they are refusing to speak to our reporters about Tino Chinamsa rumours.

The elder Chinamasa, finance minister believes that his enemies are messing him up using his son’s name.

““These evil rumours on my person character and reputation will not intimidate me from pursuing economic reforms,” he said in a statement.

The irony of this statement is that it was made 2 days after VP Emmerson Mnangagwa supposedly from a rival Lacoste faction expressed his views on Chinamsa while in Masvingo:

“if you go to the finance minister, he will tell I do not have any cash and if you ask John Mangudya he will tell you the economy is about to take off. I have asked for answers from them two. They have got to prove to us that they are worthy to be in charge of our economy, they have failed to deal with the problem,” said Mnangagwa.
