Zimbabwe’s main opposition Movement for Democratic Change-Alliance president Nelson Chamisa has welcomed the release of militant party cadre and activist Makomborero Haruzivishe after months in jail.
Haruzivishe was released from nearly 9 month detention yesterday, after being arrested on allegations of trying to incite public violence.
Meanwhile, human rights groups say Haruzivishe’s arrest was political persecution.
