MDC VP Nelson Chamisa has hit back at party bigwigs who are soiling his name.
“The rise in attacks and soiling of my character thru lies and planted false stories won’t worry me. I’m inspired by Joseph and his brothers in the Bible,” he wrote on Twitter adding that “The rise in mudslinging, blackmailing and assassination of my character thru lies and planted stories is bizarre.”
But he said “Thank God my attackers are not people from the grassroots but those from the tree top within and without!
But as you know MDC is such a huge ship as opposed to being a speed boat.We stir it wisely, forget not the strong winds.
Good politics is when you leave before people leave you.I appreciate fresh politics.”
Chamisa has spoken out as factions are vying for control of the MDC with ailing Morgan Tsvangirai battling colon cancer.
Thokozani Khupe is now the acting leader but the grassroots are pushing for young Chamisa whom they see as the obvious choice for new leader.
