Fierce critics to the rule and government of President Mugabe, Retired Colonel Kudzai Mbudzi and former Midlands Governor Mr Cephas Msipa died yesterday and this morning respectively due to undisclosed ailments.
Former Zimbabwe army boss, Retired Colonel Mbudzi, was now a top official in the opposition, ZimPF, led by Mugabe’s former Vice President Joice Mujuru.
Cephas Msipa had retired from active politics and spent his last days criticising Mugabe’s Presidency.
Mbudzi who had joined Mujuru’s ZimPF as one of its top officials succumbed to an undisclosed ailment at West End Clinic in Harare yesterday morning.
He was Masvingo provincial party spokesperson.
Msipa also died in Harare at the same West End clinic this morning, Monday 17th, around 4am.
At the time of his death, Msipa had been begging Mugabe to name a successor and step down to avoid eroding his political legacy.
