Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) councillors say they have voted Enock Mupamawonde as acting mayor, ousting MDC-T’s Stewart Mutizwa.
Mutizwa was liked by the ruling party ZANU-PF.
Meanwhile, the move by the councillors defies directive by local government minister July Moyo that mayors and committee chairpersons should not change after March 26 by-elections.
