Caledonia Mining produced 18 515 ounces of gold in the opening three months of 2022 at Blanket Mine in Gwanda, a record for any first quarter and a 40% increase over the 13 197 ounces produced in the corresponding period in 2021.
This was a record for any first quarter at Blanket Mine.
This is 40% more than Q1 2021.
Meanwhile, Blanket has started installing panels at its 12MW solar plant, to supply 27% of the mine’s power needs.
Completion is targeted for June.
