BREAKING: Zim qualifies for Afcon 2019…Latest Log Table

Africa Cup Qualifier Match: Zimbabwe beat Congo Brazzaville 2-0 (Khama 21′ Musona 36′)

Zimbabwe Warriors have qualified for the 2019 Egypt Africa Cup of Nations after beating Congo Brazzaville 2 nil in a match played in Harare today.

Khama Billiat opened the scoreline with a brilliant free kick from just outside the box after 21 minutes.

Knowledge Musona sealed victory with a well taken shot after dispossessing the Congolese defenders as they tried to clear a harmless ball inside their penalty area.

It was game management for the next 58 minutes as the two teams struggled later on in the heat and uneven pitch.

Final scores: Zimbabwe 2 Congo Brazzaville 0.

In the other match it ended DRC 1 Liberia 0.

Zimbabwe end the campaign as group winners with 11 points while DRC are second with 9.
