The University of Zimbabwe workers have threatened to down tools with immediate effect over poor conditions of service.
In an inter-office memo leaked to the media, the workers are saying they are unable to report for duty.
Meanwhile, the marking of Zimbabwe School Examination Council Ordinaryy level stopped in Gweru yesterday afternoon due to non payment of allowances.
There is an impass & the regional manager called the police to threaten the unfortunate examiners.
However, the Amalgamated Rural Teachers Union of Zimbabwe says threats are not the solution.
