Prominent Zimbabwean human rights lawyer Dewa Mavhinga has died.
Mavhinga died from Covid-19 in South Africa, colleagues told Zimlive.
He was the Southern Africa director for Human Rights Watch.
Mavhinga, who was based in the United Kingdom, is said to have attended a funeral in Zimbabwe recently where he’s suspected to have contracted Covid-19, according to colleagues.
