Zimbabwe Mega Demonstration Original Program Line Up
Youths ready for Demo Today
There is a MEGA DEMO planned for today by Zimbabwe’s opposition parties!
The Grand Demo is on, according to reports from many opposition parties’ leadership.
Reason for protest: Zimbabwe opposition parties, working under the banner of National Electoral Reform Agenda (Nera), yesterday said they had mobilised over 150 000 supporters to demonstrate in Harare today over government’s reluctance to implement electoral reforms to level the political playing field ahead of the 2018 elections.
Yesterday, Zimbabwe police panicked and approached courts to argue a case against a 150000 march by people against President Mugabe’s government.
Right now this morning, a Harare based judge is deliberating on the matter with opposition and government lawyers, before a final decision is made to authorise or sanction against the planned mass demonstrations.
We will be updating you live from Harare today, with all news about the protests, police reactions and any interesting developments.
MDC, ZimPF, ZAPU, Mavambo and Tendai Biti’s party will be out in the streets today.
We are expecting to see the likes of Morgan Tsvangirai, Simba Makoni, Joice Mujuru and Welshman Ncube leading today’s protests.
