Prince Mutebuka
Prince Mutebuka (pictured), who is Harare East Youth Assembly chairperson of the Nelson Chamisa-led opposition MDC Alliance has been detained at Harare Central Police Station and is set to appear in court tomorrow.
Mutebuka was arrested this afternoon on allegations of having participated in an unsanctioned demonstration held in Mabvuku suburb, Harare, in March this year.
The party’s national youth spokesperson Stephen Tshuma has announced the latest development.
“MDC Alliance Youth Assembly Harare East Chairman, Prince Mutebuka has been detained at Harare Central Police Station. He will appear at Rotten Row Magistrates Courts tomorrow,” revealed Tshuma.
Earlier on, Tshuma had said Mutebuka had ‘been arrested in an illegal blitzkrieg by ZRP whose sinister agenda is to silence the opposition from questioning (Zimbabwe President) Emmerson Mnangagwa’s corrupt and illegitimate regime’.
