BREAKING NEWS: Marry Chiwenga ‘nee Mubaiwa’ convicted

Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga’s estranged wife Marry Mubaiwa has been convicted of violating the Marriages Act.

A Harare magistrate convicted her for lying that her former husband had consented to solemnise their wedding while he was receiving medical care in India.

She was found guilty of the offence by Harare Magistrate Lazini Ncube.

The magistrate cited overwhelming evidence from state witnesses against her, which he said proved that she lied about VP Chiwenga’s agreed to legalise their marriage.

Ncube also pointed out that Mubaiwa had planned for the wedding from testimonies by State witnesses including that of Vice President Chiwenga.
