BREAKING NEWS|| Kwekwe Miner ”Baby Rasta” Dies As G&P Pit Collapses

In a very sad development, residents from Amaveni, in Kwekwe town, were Tuesday morning left grieving and in a state of shock after a popular male citizen who resides in the area was killed following the collapse of a tunnel at an abandoned pit in the Midlands town.

The deceased miner has been identified as “Baba Rorooo, Baby Rasta, or Bhima” since a Zwnews staffer who visited the deceased’s residence could not specifically establish the official identity of the late illegal mine.

At the time of publishing, provincial police authorities could not shed light on the tragic incident, but our journalist who visited the deceased’s residence in the U-Section of Amaveni established that Baby Rasta is the only casualty of the mine collapse.

Others were still outside the tunnel during the time of the collapse, said a source privy to the fatal incident.
