Liz Truss is set to become the new British Prime Minister after being declared winner of the Conservative Party leadership election.
She polled 81,326 votes, defeating former finance minister Rishi Sunak who received 60,399 votes.
She will formally take up role Tuesday.
This follows the resignation of Boris Johnson few months ago.
