Botswana makes U-turn on US$600 000 Zimbabwe bailout

The government of Botswana has refuted claims that it approved a US$600Million line of credit for Zimbabwe.

Through a circular published from President Masisi’s desk, the neighbouring country said media reports on millions of US dollar rescue package for Harare were unfounded putting to rest stories doing rounds in Zimbabwe government newspapers about mega money deals from Gaborone.
