Vice president Constantino Chiwenga says the police and not the government is to blame for blocking Citizens Coalition for Change -CCC- president Nelson Chamisa from conducting rallies.
However, former cabinet minister Walter Mzembi has blasted Chiwenga for disowning the police whom they are abusing for political expediency.
Mzembi warned the police to stick to principles, saying one day they will be left in the cold by the same politicians who are abusing them.
“The import of this Statement is one day you will be on your own as you were upon the Exit of Robert Mugabe when you were being harassed left right and centre.
“Stick to your Service Charter , Stay away from Political Policing. Thank me later,” he said.
