Bedwetting Hubby Slapped With $26 000 Fine

A Bulawayo magistrate has slapped a bedwetting 41-year old man from Old Luveve suburb who assaulted his wife, with a $26 000 fine or three months imprisonment if he fails to pay the fine.

The man, Mkhokheli Sibanda reportedly arrived home drunk from a booze and found his wife sleeping on the floor instead of their matrimonial bed and upon quizzing her, she bluntly told him that she could not sleep on the same bed with him because he was a bedwetter, a local publication reported.

This response did not go down well with Sibanda who reacted by kicking his wife and punching her all over the body, the court heard.

It is reported that Sibanda throttled his wife while accusing her of shaming him and violating his dignity. As a result of the attack, Sibanda’s wife reportedly sustained injuries to her head and neck.

After the attack, she then reported the matter at ZRP Luveve, leading to Sibanda’s arrest.

While appearing before Western Commonage Court resident magistrate Shepherd Mnjanja facing physical abuse charges, Sibanda pleaded guilty to the physical abuse charges.
