The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is investigating a sad incident where a 9-year-old female juvenile died on admission at Parirenyatwa Hospital after being attacked by a pit-bull dog at a house in Whitecliffe, Harare, on 25/03/23.
Apparently, this incident happens few days after a 68 year-old security guard was killed by four pit bull dogs in Waterfalls.
Pit bull dogs are not that friendly. In some countries there have been calls for imposition of restrictions in keeping them as pets.
Meanwhile, ZRP in Maphisa arrested Member Nyathi (62) and Bruce Ngwenya (22) for a case of murder in which they fatally attacked Robert Maphosa (68), accusing him of having an affair with Member Nyathi’s wife.
The suspects allegedly struck the victim all over the body with axes before burying the body in a shallow grave in a sorghum field to conceal the offence.
