Another student commits suicide

An upper six student at Zimbabwe Republic Police High School has committed suicide.

18-year-old Prince Tawonezvi reportedly took his own life yesterday at around 5pm.

Zimbabwe Republic police confirmed the tragic development in a statement on their Twitter handle.

UNFORTUNATE DEATH OF A STUDENT AT ZRP HIGH SCHOOL

The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirms the tragic and unfortunate death of an upper sixth student, Prince Tawonezvi (18) at ZRP High School on 13th March 2023 at 1700 hours.

The student allegedly committed suicide in circumstances which are now subject to investigations.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police expresses condolence to the Tawonezvi family and students at the school,” reads the statement.

Cases of suicide amongst students has become rampant.

Few days ago, another student also took own life.
