A spelling error on an ANC billboard in Port Elizabeth has caused a stir on social media, with hashtag English never loved us’ trending on Twitter on Tuesday.
Workers attempted to cover up the glaring faux pas with a sticker.
The sticker had the correct spelling of “together”.
High winds hampered their work but they vowed to come back to finish the job.
The ANC says it was human error on the part of one of its service providers and it will not derail the party’s campaign in Nelson Mandela Bay.
