Incarcerated student activist Allan Moyo is back in court to make submissions through his lawyer Obey Shava on a bail appeal seeking his release from prison, in the bid to end about 80 days of detention.
This comes after an appeal against refusal by a magistrate to admit Moyo to bail on grounds that he is of no fixed abode, was filed at High Court.
Moyo has been detained at Harare Remand Prison since early December after he was arrested & charged for allegedly stating that President Emmerson Mnangagwa had mismanaged Zim’s political & economic affairs.
Meanwhile, a law officer from National Prosecuting Authority has asked Justice Webster Chinamora to postpone hearing of Allan’s appeal to Friday.
Apparently, in response Justice Chinamora asked law officer from NPA to assure him that he will stick to his promise of filing a response to Allan’s bail appeal by 12 PM on Thursday.
And Moyo will remain in prison custody after Justice Chinamora postponed hearing of his bail appeal to Thursday.
