All set for National Hero Chanakira’s burial

All is set for the burial of the late Major General (Rtd) Godfrey Chanakira at the National Heroes Acre.

He passed on at West End Hospital in Harare on 26 May 2022, after suffering from a heart condition.

He was 65.

Major General (Rtd) Chanakira, whose nom de guerre was Cde Garikai Musavengana, was born on 24 May 1957, at Mutepfa Homestead under Chief Marange, Manicaland Province.

He was the Permanent Secretary in the Office of Vice President Dr Constantino Chiwenga.
