AFCON 2023 qualifiers dates announced, as Zim races against time

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the dates for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2023) qualifiers.

Apparently, Zimbabwe were given until two weeks before fixtures start to restore the Felton Kamambo led Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) executive.

The ultimatum leaves country staring at May 16 as key date, failing which Zimbabwe will not play for a place at Ivory Coast finals next year.

Meanwhile, the world football mother body FIFA has warned the country that Zimbabwe ban can only be lifted when Kamambo back in charge.
