General Chiwenga, wife Marry
Zimbabwe acting President, General Guvheya Nyikadzino Constantino Chiwenga has reportedly deployed soldiers to set a perimeter at his matrimonial home and other properties in a bid to block his young wife Marry Chiwenga-Mubaiwa, from accessing her children, clothes, cars and personal items.
Marry’s lawyer, Taona Nyamakura, confirmed the sad development saying the second lady, who got freed on bail was ordered by the court to live at the former couple’s matrimonial Borrowdale Brooke mansion in Harare but has been barred.
“We are actually considering court action against General Chiwenga.”
Human Rights lawyer, Dewa Mavhinga called the acting president’s actions unconstitutional and “abuse of state institutions and the army.”
Chiwenga appears to follow a “win by any means necessary policy” when it comes to divorce.
In 2014, when he was divorcing his theird wife, Jocelyn Mauchaza, she accused him of using soldiers to deny her entry to their farm located 1,5 kilometers off the Shamva Road.
The army was deployed hours after the court had issued a divorce decree ordering her eviction.
