Blind man rapes teen

Fungayi Moyana

In a bizarre incident that left residents of Chivi District shocked, a 75 year old blind man did the unthinkable when he manipulated a juvenile and raped her once without wearing a condom.

Fred Jongwe a blind man from Takavarasha District allegedly called the girl from nearby his house and sent her to fetch him water so that he could drink.

The 13 year old went to the borehole and came back, she was then asked by Jongwe to come into his house.

The juvenile entered and knelt down to give Jongwe a cup of water, to her surprise Jongwe instead of taking the cup grabbed her hand and pulled her to the ground.

Jongwe pressed her to the ground, removed her pants and raped the minor once without her consent.

After raping her he threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident.

The girl rushed outside and went back to her homestead crying and told her mother what had happened.

The matter was reported to the police leading to Jongwe’s arrest.

Jongwe is out of custody and is set to appear in court mid May facing charges of rape.
