A man from Mahusekwa will rue the day he stole a blanket, Nokia 1282 and US $200 after he was slapped with a 16 month imprisonment.
Prosecuting George Manhidza said Takudzwa Zambezi unlawfully gained entry after opening the door of Lilian Mashuma’s (70) where he stole the property and cash.
Manhidza told the court that Mashuma returned home and noticed that her property was missing and she reported the matter to the police.
Zambezi was later found at the nearest shopping Centre where he was caught in possession of the stolen items.
Magistrate Ignatus Mhene who presided over the matter sentenced him to 16 months behind bars.
