Two paratroopers crash-landed at the Independence Day Celebrations at Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo Monday while conducting parachute displays.
Parachute displays are part of the entertainment at the celebrations.
Six state security officers fell at different intervals after failing to endure simmering temperatures during the Independence Day commemorations parade held at Chinhoyi Stadium Monday.
This year’s main celebrations were conducted in Bulawayo first time in country’s history.
Meanwhile, many Zimbabweans celebrated the day with different reactions amid a dying economy.
The government has been blaming sanctions, but critics say corruption is doing much harm to the economy.
