2 killed, 3 injured in fatal RTA- police

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed a fatal road traffic accident which occurred at the 73 kilometre peg along Chivhu- Nyazura Road on 23/08/25.

 

Two people were killed while three others were injured when an Isuzu lorry with six passengers on board was involved in a head-on collision with a Toyota Axio vehicle with three passengers on board.

 

The bodies of the victims were conveyed to Murambinda Mission Hospital mortuary for postmortem, while the injured were admitted at the same hospital.

 

Meanwhile, on 19/08/25, Police in Gwanda reacted swiftly to an armed robbery report and arrested Patson Dube (36), Hardfellow Sibanda alias Bhoyi (27) and Bhekithemba Ncube (21) for stealing a 30 kw generator alternator, water pump and a wheelbarrow at Nkonongwe Mine Compound.

The arrest led to the recovery of the stolen items.
