Platinum FC roasts ‘troubled’ Caps United

Platinum Football Club has beaten troubled Harare Giants Caps United by 3 goals to nil in a Castle Premier Soccer league match played this afternoon.

It was a fast match which saw high energy levels being demonstrated with both teams having a fair share of the action.

However, it didn’t end well for the former Cup Kings.

Platinum FC drew first blood in the 15th minute when Walter Musona delivered a free kick, which was slightly deflected and went in.

A minute after, Hagaizo Magaya releases a powerful shot outside the box and beating Caps United goalkeeper Zondai Mateyaunga to double the lead.

Caps slowly crawling into the match trying to be offensive, with the ultimate goal being to reduce arrears, but no changes on the scoreboard yet in favour of the visitors 2-0 Caps.

The affairs remained the same towards half time, and on the 40th minute mark a corner kick was flighted by FC Platinum and Blessing Moyo connected to make it 3 nil.

After half time, things remained unchanged with both teams having fair share of the action.

Caps United made tactical changes bringing in new pair of shoes but to no avail as the match ended Platinum FC 3 – Caps United 0.

Meanwhile, the green machine as Caps United is known, are having in house problems while recently saw players engaging in an industrial action.

Some of the players were fired for having been ring leaders, by allegedly inciting other team members to strike.

Caps United’s next games are equally tricky, as they meet Chicken Inn, Bulawayo Chiefs and log leaders Dynamos in their next 3 matches.
