Mob save Makomborero Haruzivishe from ‘abduction’

Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) says its member Makomborero Haruzivishe was almost abducted by unknown people.

CCC Spokesperson Fadzayi Mahere made the claim, saying the human rights activist was saved by members of the public.

“I’ve just been in communication with
Makomborero Haruzivishe
following his disturbing Facebook live video where he is resisting arrest by men who are trying to handcuff him.

“He said unidentified men in plainclothes tried to take him but he was saved by the public,” she said.

Haruzivishe was arrested several times and detained on charges of trying to undermine the government by allegedly urging members of the public to revolt.

He was accused of speaking out and organising peaceful protests against the Zanu-PF government.
