16 killed in horror Zimbabwe road accidents

Eight people were killed on the spot while about five others were injured in Chegutu in a head on collision involving a Toyota Vox and a Toyota Fun Cargo vehicles along the Chegutu – Chinhoyi road yesterday, our reporters have been told.

The accident happened just two days after another deadly accident that claimed 8 lives this past Sunday  on the the Harare – Masvingo highway bring the total death toll to 16 within  2 days.

Yesterday’s accident  happened around morning hours some 8 km outside Chegutu town in Mashonaland West.

All five of the injured were taken to Chegutu District Hospital.

Two were later transferred to a Harare hospital for further treatment.

The deceased’s bodies were taken to a Chegutu hospital for post motem.

Names of the victims will be announced soon.
