President Emmerson Mnangagwa has sworn in a 3 member tribunal set to investigate misconduct allegations against Justice Edith Mushore.
The tribunal is led by retired Judge Justice Maphios Cheda and other members are Charles Warara and Yvonne Masvora.
Recommendations to investigate Justice Mushore came from JSC after she failed to report for duty for nine months.
The recommendations were done in terms of Section 187 (1) & (3) of the Constitution, to determine if the judge is still mentally & physically fit to continue working.
Section 187 (1) of the Constitution provides that a judge may be removed from office only for inability to perform the functions of his or her office due to mental or physical incapacity, gross incompetence, or gross misconduct.

Meanwhile, Mnangagwa has
received a report on the tribunal of inquiry into the question of removal from office of Justice Thompson James Mabhikwa.
The tribunal led by Retired Judge Justice November Mtshiya, was set to investigate the suitability of suspended Justice Mabhika to hold judicial office, following reports of alleged gross misconduct.
